Jane Iredale brushes and unique and painstakingly developed as a superior option to natural hair.  These brushes a specially designed to hold more powder for better payoff and coverage. All of these brushes are easy to clean and dry.  One great benefit and feature of these brushes is that they do not shed or break.  A superior brush for a superior makeup line.

These non-animal hair brushes are manufactured by our brush factory and not purchased on the open market. The two types of fibers used are Naturon and Taklon with some brushes being a combination of the two.

Naturon is primarily used in our powder application brushes. This beautifully soft material was designed to mimic natural hairs with its ultra-thin shaft and tapered tip. Our liquid and cream product application brushes are made of Taklon. Its uniform shaft and slightly larger diameter makes this material a bit stiffer and prevents the product from sticking to the fibers allowing for easy transference and blending. Both Naturon and Taklon are durable, easy to clean.

All Jane Iredale brushes are hand-tied versus cut-to-shape. Good quality brushes are referred to as hand-tied. This means that fibers are hand-molded to the desired shape and cut at the ferrule end (the metal collar between the brush head and handle.) This maintains the integrity of the individual fibers with their fine tapered ends making the fibers feel soft, picks up our products more efficiently and disburses and blends them more evenly on the skin.
